Keditec has leapt into the European market with a brand-new €15,000 direct-to-film printer.

The 620mm K-series 60DTF, fitted with between two and five Epson i3200 printheads, can reach print speeds of 14 sqm/hr over four passes with two heads, or 25 sqm/hr with four heads.

The printer boasts the updated BYHX (Beijing) motherboard, released to the Chinese market in late summer 2023, something that sets it apart from its local competitors, according to Marcel Visser, customer service manager at AGA Color Solutions, a dutch reseller that has recently taken on Keditec machines.

The 60DTF is Keditec’s first machine that it has manufactured and sold under the Keditec brand. Up until now, the firm’s offering had been spread around under the banner of Shidao (SD) Group, which manufactures inkjet printers.

“It’s the same technology with a different shell around it: more unity will make it a more recognisable brand,” Visser said.

Now, however, Keditec has gathered part of SD Group’s DTF and wide-format offering under a single banner – or here at Fespa, a single frog mascot – to show off its wide-format and 3D object printing capabilities.

Also on show at distributor AGA’s booth (12-G30) are a 420mm DTF printer, also selling at €15,000 with powder-shaker, and an engine capable of printing flat surfaces on objects up to 400mm tall – at the booth, it is printing short stools with company branding.

A cutting table, flatbed UV printer, and roll-to-roll printer are also on show.

Visser added that AGA had already made several sales, making it worth the trip to Fespa.

“As a new brand, it’s good for us to come. It’s a nice cooperation between Chinese manufacturer and Dutch distributor – we [at AGA] have Chinese-speaking staff for technical backup, which is great.”

AGA is Keditec’s exclusive distributor for the Netherlands and Germany.
