Kappa Holdings has agreed to buy AssiDomn Corrugated and Containerboard in a 1bn (SEK10.4bn) deal.
The business will be integrated with Kappa Packaging to create one of Europes three biggest packaging producers along with SCA and Jefferson Smurfit.
The sale is in line with AssiDomns strategy to focus on forestland ownership. It is subject to EU competition approval.
