Job Scheufelen has been forced to close its 35,000-tonne-per-year art paper mill in Toulouse, France, following a court decision to liquidate the mill.
The mills equipment will now be sold, following the appointment of a liquidator. Negotiations are already underway between the company and the staff.
The troubled mill began insolvency proceedings in July last year, transferring its production to the companys other mill in Oberlenningen in Germany, prior to making a decision on whether to liquidate the Toulouse mill.
Production recommenced last October in an attempt to find a buyer for the mill, but the doors finally closed in January with no prospective parties interested.
