The new company, MB Creative, has bought up everything that had previously been associated with textiles, including the site, which was moved to the current location five years ago when it separated from beziers Wakefield POP division. MB Creative also has associations with companies overseas, including three in Sri Lanka, one of which is a joint venture, and all will transfer to MB Creative.
Bezier decided that textiles wasnt part of its operations, especially as the market has changed over the past few years and so much has moved overseas, said Jackson.
The company has sales of around 2m and employs 40 people in Wakefield. However, with ongoing projects such as establishing manufacturing points in Dubai and Pakistan, as well as developing quick response textile printing, the company hopes to grow.
Were really looking at the sports industry at the moment. We already work with Nike and are on the verge of signing a deal with a major sports company. We also work with most high street names, such as Bhs and Asda George, and we have seven film licenses in place for the next year, added Jackson.
