"Quantum will be able to take advantage of the facility to view and approve pages remotely online before printing," said ITM's managing director Mike Harrington. "This will make us an extension of the publisher's production team."

Wendy Dyke, production manager of Quantum Business Media, said her firm chose ITM because of its technical expertise, support and knowledge of the web-based press-passing system NetPublish.

The North London firm handles pre-press, data management and print services for everything from low-run letterheads to 500pp directories.

Customers include the Royal College of Nursing, Reed Business Press and The Builder Group. ITM could draw on 35 years of experience in all aspects of printing and publishing production, said Harrington.
