In the early 1980s, it regularly sold half a million copies, with its biggest-selling issue, featuring Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan on the cover, selling around 1m copies in 1989.
Sales, however, have fallen to 120,541 copies over the past few years, and with advertising revenues dwindling, publisher Emap has decided it has become unprofitable.
The last 64pp copy was printed by Cooper Clegg last week and will be published on 13 February.
