International event for I-Paper

The first International I-Paper Congress hosted by PaperGate Systemintegration took place in Germany on 1-2 July.

The congress followed the launch of I-Paper at this year's Drupa exhibition in Germany last month (PrintWeek, 20 May).

I-Paper is a new intelligent paper product developed by ArjoWiggins Carbonless Paper and PaperGate Systemintegration.

A total of 59 representatives from the print and paper industries attended the congress, along with organisations and specialist publishing houses from 10 countries worldwide.

The object of the congress was to explain the paper in detail and to show its possible uses.

Keynote speaker was Peter Dehm, president of Xplor Deutschland, who talked about I-Paper's role in document management.

Pilot projects were also presented and also workshops.

PaperGate Systemintegration is a system designer and service provider, founded by Merbeth & Bossert print media, a German company that specialises in the production of business forms and continuous stationery

A second I-Paper event will be held at ArjoWiggins Group's research and development centre at Butler's Court on 17 September 2004.
