Impresse has announced plans to extend its online print procurement system to support the European printing industry although its goal of a public offering has been temporarily delayed due to what the company described as adverse market conditions.
The European version of its impresse.com service will incorporate continental procurement specification standards, print sizes and time and date formats. It will be also available in both French and German.
"Impresse will offer European printers and corporations increased efficiencies and stronger relationships in the print supply chain," said Nimish Mehta, president and CEO of Impresse. "The impresse.com service will enable European printers and print buyers to streamline the complex, labour-intensive tasks of commercial print procurement, from project specification, quoting, proofing, and production management to reporting and billing."
The company is also working at integrating Impresse data with its customers ERP and estimating systems.
