Version 3.5 of the server has been designed for high-volume production with the ability to power up to 16 Indigo 7000 digital presses or up to 40 Indigo 5000 machines.
According to the manufacturer, the server, which is ideal for handling transpromo and direct mail applications, can also accurately match Pantone colours thanks to HP's Indichrome technology.
Digital presses supported by the latest version of the SmartStream server include the Indigo 5500, the Indigo 7000, the Indigo W7200 and the Indigo WS6000.
Additional new features include the integration of small jobs into the workflow and improved PDF transparency.
