Howitts has confirmed that it will move its operations to a single site later this year.
The firm, the subject of an MBO from Communisis earlier this year, currently operates from two leased sites in Nottingham, at Hucknall and Bulwell (PrintWeek, 2 February).
It is looking at a location within a 15-mile radius, and close to the M1 motorway.
Finance director Chris Knight said: "We are aiming to have the site finalised and ready by July. Consolidating on a single site will unlock savings both operationally and logistically nowadays print businesses need to be extremely efficient, and you cant do that moving work between sites."
Knight confirmed that the firm had ordered a new Heidelberg M600, which will be installed at the new factory and replace one of its four existing webs two 16pp and two 8pp. The M600 will be fitted with Scheffer inline finishing kit.
Howitts has also ordered an Agfa Galileo CTP system for its new site.
