The deal, made through Xera-Logic Scotland, for two of Xerox's latest monochrome presses will allow the Glasgow-based specialist educational printer to bring all its printing work in-house. Digital B&W printing had previously been outsourced to printer DP21 in Glasgow until the firm went bust in December 2003.
"It's a new venture for us," said managing director of The Homework Diary Company Alan Craig.
He added: "This is a big investment and really takes us to the cutting edge in digital B&W printing."
Craig said that he had chosen the DT120 machines on the basis of previous experience with the brand. He added: "The quality of the half-tones and blacks is second to none. The production speed is excellent too."
