Greens say jobs were not at risk

Nicholas Green, joint chief executive at Tangent Communications, has denied a report in the Sunday Telegraph that he and brother Tim Green almost lost their jobs after his companys audacious but failed takeover bid for St Ives.

He said: “We certainly did not nearly lose our jobs, but we were going to change our roles if the takeover had gone through.”

The report added that AIM-listed Tangent’s sales are expected to rise to around £17.5m in the year to February, while profits will be around £2.3m. Green refused to comment on the forecast.
