William Gibbons & Sons has repeated its order from three years ago and bought a Komori System 38 web and a five-colour Lithrone 40 sheetfed press.
The companys latest investment means that it has spent over 12m in the last three years with Komori.
William Gibbons & Sons joint managing director Mark Gibbons said: "The 38SII has proved itself to be a flexible, well-engineered and sensibly automated 16pp machine that is absolutely right for the short-run magazine market. It can compete with 24pp and 32pp webs as well."
The new web, like the firms existing 38, features a CMF combination folder. Gibbons said that this enables it to produce 8pp sections with a closed head, which is easier to pass through the firms Heidelberg ST300 stitching line.
The two five-colour Lithrones give William Gibbons & Sons a sheetfed capacity of 30,000 sheets per hour.
The company, based in Willenhall near Wolverhampton, has also launched a new website www.williamgibbons.co.uk.
