Gecko rejigs senior positions

Leeds-based print management firm Gecko has restructured its senior staff as part of a strategy to promote itself to the wider market.

The company has promoted three of its staff to director roles. Fiona Williams becomes client services director, Sarah-Jayne O'Connor is made sales and marketing director and Seamus Miller is promoted to operations director.

According to Gecko managing director Anthony Bagshaw, the move strengthens the company's infrastructure.

"We are expanding the business to keep up with the market," he said. "In the past we have developed through word of mouth but now we are trying to get more of a presence in the marketplace. It is time to go in a different direction."

He added that the company had installed software "unique to Gecko" which he was keen to promote to potential clients. The system allows customers to go online and create printed work such as posters, inserts and point-of-sale material.
