It has also announced who will succeed outgoing chairman David O'Shaughnessy when he steps down at the end of September.
Janette McKay has been appointed as non-executive director.
"It's often been commented that there aren't enough women on boards in general, that was in our minds," said chief executive Mike Taylor.
Jonathan Dutton, the firm's senior non-executive director, will step up to the role of chairman when O'Shaughnessy retires on his 70th birthday, the 29 September (PrintWeek, 8 April).
"David has made an invaluable contribution to the company, for which we are very grateful," said Taylor. "We are pleased the Jonathan has agreed to take over as chairman. Since he joined the board in 2001 he has brought the board a wide breadth of commercial benefit to the company."
