The Fareham-based firm has bought the 10 presses to produce home information packs targeting people planning to sell their property. By law, from next June sellers will have to produce the packs in order to sell their homes.
FSP was not formed to, and has no intention of, handling conventional print, said managing director Martin Truscott (pictured). The Nexpress presses have been acquired for the production of the information packs.
FSP has already installed two of the 2100 plus presses and the remaining eight will go in later this year.
This installation isnt just about selling the presses, said Chris Matthews, UK regional business manager for Kodak GCG's digital print solutions division. What FSP liked about us was that NexPress was part of the wider Kodak group. They wanted to feel that they had a partner.
Matthews added that FSP was to install Creos Prinergy workflow and NexPress would assist in the installation of finishing equipment.
FSP operates out of a 4,400m2 facility and has a workforce of 35. It plans to grow this figure to 140 before June 2007.
