Forscot unveils green report

Forscot has published an environmental consultation report on its 1bn integrated forest industry project.

The report describes the project and any potential environmental impact. The project moved on to the second stage of its development in June, with further funding of 5m-10m (PrintWeek, 16 June) now being sought.

Parties that wish to participate in the environmental assessment are being invited to respond.

These are expected to include the Highland Council, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Natural Heritage, the Health and Safety Executive and a number of other bodies.

Forscot chairman Ed Gillespie said the responses would also help to guide the company's final designs for the proposed forest products plant at Invergordon.
