The DPX System is a dedicated polyester platesetter, providing colour-separated punched plates imaged in perfect register.
Flexpress already had a DPX, installed four-and-a-half years ago, but decided to upgrade because of computer platform updates and changes in RIP software.
Steve Wenlock, managing director of Flexpress, said: "We haven't seen anything that gets close to it, so there is no reason to change to anything different just a newer version."
"Our first machine was installed about 10 years ago. We thought then that it was way ahead of the competition, and quite amazingly it really has stood the test of time," said Apex Digital Graphics managing director Bob Usher.
