FastAnt expands workforce

FastAnt, the facilities management division of Leicester printer Taylor Bloxham, is to take on an extra 25 staff as the it expands over the next 12 months.

FastAnt provides print distribution, storage and call centre facilities for its customers.

The company was founded in March 2002 and has a 13-strong workforce. It was previously Taylor Bloxham's facilities management function and, although it is still part of the printing firm, it now has autonomous status.

According to Taylor Bloxham IT director Matthew Wennington, the division is part of the company's efforts to diversify the business.

"We are trying to provide the customer with more than just a solution for printing. We are providing a complete communications solution as well," said Wennington. He added that storage, distribution and call centre services were three areas with "huge potential".

FastAnt is aimed at marketers, print buyers and operation managers who require storage and delivery of materials. The call centre is being "tested" by seven customers.
