The quality of visitors has definitely been up on what we were expecting, said Heidelberg UKs sales manager for the Southern division, Derek Gillard. There have also been loads of interesting prospects.

Litho Supplies joint managing director Gerry Mulvaney agreed: We have been pleased with the attendance, which has showed that the visitors are the people not only seriously interested in technology but also the decision makers. Our salespeople havent even had time for lunch.

Organiser Gary Swinford is looking to develop the show by building on this years from design to delivery theme and showcase print as a marketing tool.

Traditional print shows are very much about technology, we need to broaden that to cover what print can do, he said.

Next years show is pencilled in for the last week of October to provide the industry with a breather after Ipex in April.
