The product, which will make its UK debut at Ipex, is designed to apply 1,000 labels per minute on front or inside pages. It can be customised to accommodate various label sizes, shapes and positioning on the page.

According to Partners in Packaging managing director Duncan Macintyre, by using the Etipack Super, labels can serve a marketing role.

"Labels can be used to highlight news stories, as reader-offer vouchers and for advertising," he said.

For front pages, the product is configured with a motorised label reel unwinder and rewinder. Etipack has developed a configuration for inside pages that incorporates a motorised unwinder and a suction device for backing paper.

It also has a jumbo unwinder with splice rollers for faster joining of label reels without needing to stop the line.
