Esko to show auto platesetter

Esko-Graphics will introduce the first fully automated flexo platesetter at Flexo 2005 in March.

Its updated CDI Advance machine will include an automatic plate loading system (APL), which removes the protective cover sheet from the plate before loading, imaging and unloading the plate automatically.

It will also reveal details of a new sleeve imaging option for the CDI Compact platesetter. Using a cantilever arm, the system allows one person to change a sleeve without additional tools.

Its large-format flexo platesetter, the CDI Spark XT, which handles plates up to 900x1,200mm, will be shown with the latest flexo software updates to its Scope workflow.

Other new products include the MultiCut tool head for the Kongsberg sample table, which gets its first outing at the show. Flexo 2005 runs from 15-18 March at the NEC.
