In the meantime, EFI has teamed up with Swiss software firm Digital Information to provide an option for its Best proofing software that can create press ink key settings.
InkZone Option uses Digital Informations Ink Zone Box software which can provide a digital file for most sheetfed presses.
Ink key setting data is created by InkZone from TIFF files output from Colorproof, providing a way of getting ink key information from PostScript or PDF files.
Users that dont want to set machines digitally can use the Best Ink Key Assistant tool to print ink key setting onto proofs once they have entered their press ink key details.
