Exchange provides internet job submission, tracking, proofing and approval for clients, and order management and tracking for printers.
It links with EFIs other applications - Velocity Balance for multiple digital printer control, Velocity OneFlow for CTP and DI workflows, Fiery, and third- party workflows.
EFI also plans to link it into Printcafes MIS once it completes the acquisition of the company.
Velocity Exchange is in beta testing in the US, and beta testing will begin in Europe soon. Shipping will start before the end of the year.
Global quickprint firm Franchise Services, which owns the Sir Speedy and PIP Printing brands, has signed an agreement with EFI allowing it to supply Velocity Exchange to its franchisees.
