It has announced a development agreement with Scitex Digital Printing (SDP) to provide a version of the Fiery to drive its Versamark Business Color Press.
This powerful combination of expertise will allow us to deliver unsurpassed solutions to the growing transactional printing market and beyond, said SDP chief executive Nachum Shamir.
EFI chief executive Guy Gecht said: Now we can bring our expertise in quality colour, variable data printing, efficient workflow and robust performance to SDPs high-speed production printing market.
The Fiery will support PostScript, PDF and legacy variable data printing file formats.
Eliezer Lubitch, SDPs vice president of corporate development said: Corporations around the world are seeking to combine the power of CRM with traditional transactional printing to produce a valuable selling product. Business Color technology enables statement printing with unprecedented productivity, cost-per-page and colour quality.
The Fiery for the Versamark BCP will be available by the end of next year.
