The Cardiff-based firm, which was established in 1988, installed a Heidelberg KH 56 folding machine last month and has just signed an order for a Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 74-5, five-colour press.
Sales director John Forrest said that the ability to print and seal all in one pass was of central concern when the company decided to upgrade. "It is about giving the best possible service to our clients," he added.
Eclipse Printing, which employs 14 people, will initially run the new press on a double-day shift. When extra capacity is needed, a night shift will be added and additional staff hired.
"The key thing is that its not increasing our monthly overheads," said Forrest. "We wont have to get more work, but we will hope to attract more work."
Eclipse installs Speedmaster
The Eclipse Printing Company has upgraded its print and finishing equipment in a 700,000 investment, due to be completed in October this year.
