DPS rolls out a book of digital paper samples

Digital Print Solutions (Scotland) has produced a sample book for digital print buyers and designers.

Managing director David Selkirk said the book, launched in April was in response to a need for designers and print buyers to select appropriate paper stocks for digital presses.

Selkirk said customers are now ordering stocks that they had never previously thought of using for a digitally printed job.

Produced on the company's HP Indigo Press, the book shows the range of stocks from a number of paper merchants, which are suitable for printing with the Indigo.

The paper sample book has been produced in a ring-binder format, so that it can be distributed on an ongoing basis and new stocks added as they become available.

A colour-matching chart has also been produced, which enables designers to visualise how colours specified as specials will print when printed CMYK on the press.

Formed last year, Digital Print Solutions now has blue chip clients across a number of market sectors, including design, marketing, printing, publishing, and financial and public sector.
