The US groups second-quarter sales fell slightly but net income dropped by a fifth, from 15m ($24m) to 12m, after it took restructuring and impairment charges of 3.1m.
Growth in the groups logistics and international businesses offset a "continued year-on-year decline" in print and financial services.
In the US, RR Donnelley suffered from lower prices although print volumes were stable.
Group net sales for the three months to 30 June fell 0.6% to 710m.
Magazines, catalogues and retail accounted for almost 30% of revenue, down from 30.7% this time last year.
