RR Donnelley has managed to contact all but three of its 400 New York-based staff following the World Trade Centre attack (PrintWeek, 14 September).
A spokeswoman said: We are confident that the remaining members of staff are safe; we are just trying to personally verify this.
Communication has been hampered by damage to the Manhattan phone system.
The firms 75 Park Plaza service centre is closed pending an assessment of structural damage. All operations have been moved to its 99 Park Avenue facility.
The RR Donnelley Foundation has made a donation of 34,000 to the September 11th Relief Fund.
