Domino marketing services manager Sheila Richardson said that the system, which applies the plates details via the companys A-Series ink-jet printer, was particularly useful for the newspaper sector, but could be used across all offset production.
"Information such as colour and tower is written on the back with a marker pen," said Richardson. "Theres also the problem that once the plates are on the information cant be seen. With this system the quality controller can check visibly and then ink-up."
Richardson added that the I-006RG ink had been developed at the behest of customers.
Dominos A-Series printer can be fitted to platesetters.
