Colourgen has announced the appointment of Susan Percy as its new support administration supervisor. She comes from a similar role at Hitachi Home Electronics. Percy will be responsible for the allocation of on-site visits to Colourgen's growing team of field engineers across the UK.
Vutek will exhibit the latest additions to its PressVu UV family of UV-curing flatbed and UltraVu solvent roll-to-roll printers at VisCom 2005 which takes place from 29 September to 1 October in Dsseldorf. Domino Printing Sciences will showcase the new S200WB scribing laser system at Drinktec 2005 in Munich from 12-17 September. It builds on the S200 laser to offer higher speeds and increased performance in PET applications.
Linx Printing Technologies has launched a new steered-beam laser coder, the Linx 500SL. It can code up to 90,000 labels per hour and mark traditionally difficult substances such as rubber and certain plastics. "The Linx 500SL sets a new standard within the laser coding industry," said Linx marketing manager Simon Powell.
Xerox has combined its Business Multipurpose 4200 and Premium Multipurpose 4024 in a move to enhance its paper line. The brand now features one type of paper in a 92 brightness and blue-white shade. They have renamed it "Xerox Business 4200".
Folex has extended its range of substrates for HP Indigo presses, with a new transparent product for reverse-image posters, signs and floor graphics. Folex Digiprint IG/ARF is a scratch- and abrasion-resistant 180 micron polyester film. The underside carries an Electroink receptive coating and the top is anti-reflective to improve visibility, which according to the firm gives it a similar appearance to polycarbonate.
