Redpas Digital Print & Cut was officially launched by Andrew Davies, minister for economic development and transport, after a start-up award of over 100,000.
Ramjam Smythe, managing director of the firm in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, employs 10 staff and targets "innovators in engineering, marketing and visual display".
He spent 350,000 on a four-colour Zund 215C, an Exact flatbed plotter and a custom-built Power Jet Systems' water-jet cutter.
"All this technology doesn't matter a fig if you don't deliver," said Smythe (pictured right with Davies), who aims to hit turnover of 500,000 in the first year.
Davies said Redpas was combining technology with creativity to contribute to the "knowledge industry" in Wales.
