Digital print spend to reach 27bn by 2007

Global spending on digital colour print will reach 27bn ($50bn) by 2007, according to research and consultancy firm IT Strategies.

This was based on business and consumer spend, which in 2002 was at 16bn worldwide. Of the predicted figure, IT Strategies estimated 65% would be graphics and 35% documents.

The forecast included ink-jet and electrophotographic digital printing technologies.
