Deanprint sees productivity triple with perfect binder investment

Commercial printer Deanprint has claimed a three-fold increase in production following an investment in a Bufalo Rondofix perfect binder from Perfect Bindery Solutions.

Stockport-based Deanprint's new hand-fed machine features fast set-ups and a small footprint. It can handle both large and small formats and offers inline backlining.

The Bufalo Rondofix can use Hotmelt, PVA and PUR adhesives and operates automatically through a sensor fitted into the feed plate.

Deanprint's managing director Mike Broome (pictured) said: "We are already producing work three times faster which has enabled us to offer better prices making us more competitive.

"The quality of work we are producing has been enhanced and we are now marketing the machine, especially locally."

Deanprint prints a host of products including leather-bound books and manila folders.
It also offers design and mailing fulfilment.

The company has a £3m turnover and currently employs 60 staff. It uses Heidelberg B1 and B2 litho presses, as well as a Konica Minolta CSS digital press.
