Danaher rejigs Linx personnel after takeover

Danaher Corporation has begun a boardroom makeover after completing its 89m takeover of Linx Printing Technologies.

Senior Danaher executives James Ditkoff, Philip Whitehead and Colin Davis have joined the Linx board as executive directors.

Linx chairman Michael Moore has left the board, while director Anthony Withey will step down on 12 January.

Danaher is now understood to be conducting a review of the Cambridgeshire-based manufacturer of date-and-batch coding kit.

Danaher, the Washington-based environmental controls giant, declared last Monday (3 January) that its offer for Linx had become wholly unconditional, effectively completing the deal.

The firms have so far remained tight-lipped on the effects of the deal, first revealed in October last year when Danaher trumped a 74m offer from Illinois Tool Works.

Danaher also owns label and overprinting specialist Videojet, based in Illinois. It is unclear whether Danaher intends to merge the operations.
