A winding-up petition was filed on 22 October against the companys UK sales office in Welwyn Garden City by American Home Assurance Company at the High Court of Justice.
The creditor is reported to have chosen to pursue the UK sales office for outstanding monies owed rather than sign up to any other creditor arrangements with the Indonesian parent company.
Insolvency practitioner Mercer & Hole, of St Albans, has subsequently been appointed as liquidator.
A new company, Calington, based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, has now been appointed as the sole agent representative in the UK for APPs Indonesian pulp and paper mills.
