Costing and estimating package DigiQuote's new compare function can be used to find the most cost- effective production method using current equipment, or to evaluate the cost effectiveness of a potential digital press investment.
Chessington firm Direct Digital Print uses the tool to pick the most cost effective machine out of its Xeikon, HP Indigo and Heidelberg Quickmaster DI for each job.
Borble, a digital trade printer based in Rhyl, north Wales, used the software to work out what finishing equipment to buy to complement its Xeikon 330, plumping for varnishing, laminating and die cutting.
Since its launch in 2003 TimeHarvest has installed 50 seats of DigiQuote in the UK.
