Communisis has expanded its financial printing activities with a new typesetting operation in the City of London.
The firm has set up a satellite operation within the EC1 premises of digital print specialist Direct Image, which Communisis already works closely with on some document output work.
"For some years weve been very successful doing financial typesetting for big merger and acquisition documents," explained Paul Simpson, managing director of creative arm Communisis One, part of Communisis e-comms division. "What has become apparent is that if we really want to progress we need to set up in London, because lawyers and merchant bankers believe this type of work must be done in the City."
The business is also making use of the Communisis corporate HQ on Bishopsgate as a conferencing facility that is "ideally placed for banks".
Divisional director John Wells added that the move "underlined how committed we are to responding to the needs of customers we are doing more business in the square mile than ever before."
[0]Wells is currently in talks with "a number of interested parties" about the up-for-sale Howitts business in Nottingham.
