ColourLink set to boost shops with DesignJet

The ColourLink network of digital imaging shops is to install the new HP DesignJet 4000 printer at 20 of its 26 UK sites.

The kit will replace the HP DesignJet 1000 machines to increase capacity, improve quality and speed up turnaround times.

Tony Barnett, managing director of John E Wright in Nottingham and a director of ColourLink, said the 4000 was good for architectural drawings, rendered images and mapping plans.

Monochrome work continued to be the main output but demand for colour 3D images and presentations was growing, he said.

He added that the 4000 produced up to 100 A1 sheets per hour double the output speed of the previous model.
