The upcoming ISO 12647-2 standard is the first to allow printers to use a spectrophotometer instead of a densitometer to measure colour.
Colorware claims Pressview allows press operators to translate the spectral colour data from the spectrophotometer into graphs and colour bars.
Pressview can compare a wet print with a dry print reference, either the ISO standard or an old print job, during production and automatically generates a report.
The software also provides statistical information on quality, time scale and press performance during production. Remote access to the data is available at any time.
Colorware is available in three versions: Consult, which is aimed at consultants implementing new standards; Business, which can be used with GretagMacbeth Eye One Pro, and Professional, which runs with Techknon RS800 spectral control strip reader.
