Color Co expands with new US centre

The Color Company has opened its 13th centre with a new branch in Boston, USA.

The new centre is the group’s second outlet in Boston, and its fourth centre in the States.

Color Company owner Elgin Loane said: “We are very pleased to have our second centre in Boston, this will help us continue to serve our clients on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Also we have continued to expand in the UK with the opening of a new large-format centre in Birmingham beside the refurbished Birmingham New Street station.”

The new Boston centre is located in the heart of the financial district. Its existing operation in the city is near Harvard.

The firm has ordered a Xerox Versant for Boston, while the new Birmingham large-format centre, which opened earlier this year, is kitted out with HP equipment including a Latex 360 and DesignJet Z6200.

The Color Company has eight locations in London, including a 24/7 centre on Curzon Street.

The group had sales of £8.7m in its most recent accounts, for the year to 31 December 2014.

Loane also owns London fine stationery printer The Wren Press.

The Color Company acquired the assets of Service Point's US business in 2013.
