Managing director Nigel Anderson said the machine, which runs at 12,000sph and can handle formats from SRA4 to B1, was "the usual dream bit of kit from Steinemann". It will be used to coat products such as magazine covers and greetings cards.

The Manchester firm was set up in August last year with an Autobond Sheetmaster CT 102 laminator, a Sakurai Maestro 102A cylinder press and a Heidelberg cylinder for die-cutting.

Other services include spot varnishing, gumming, laminating and die-cutting. The addition of the roller coater was the "cherry on the cake", said Anderson.
