CNPIEC purchases CMC Cartonwrap

CNPIEC, a public publishing company belonging to the Chinese government, has invested in a CMC Cartonwrap 1000 box-on-demand system.

The machine can wrap orders of single and multiple products using corrugated board fed from a fanfold stack.

The firm, which imports and exports books and magazines, has built a new warehouse in Beijing to print and distribute books on-demand and will use the Cartonwrap system to send single and multiple books out to consumers.

The device will be installed by the end of the year. CNPIEC vice-president Lin Jian said: “The Cartonwrap fits the needs of our customers very well and is a good example of industry 4.0.”
