The document was printed by William Caxton at Westminster on 13 December 1476 and was produced as an "indulgence".
The printed text is similar to handwriting used in government documents during the mid-1400s.
Caxton's work is part of a new exhibition called "Movers and Shakers: Geoffrey Chaucer to Elton John". Caxton is one of 17 people featured including Henry VIII, Edmund Halley, Charles Dickens and Winston Churchill.
The exhibition runs until 31 May 2005 with free admission.
