Prior to the installation, West Yorkshire-based Carlton had to unpack printed cards and envelopes by hand to attach retailer price and coding information labels.
To solve the problem, Advanced combined units from two of its agencies a feeder unit from Kora Packmat and a label applicator from Eurokett.
The 200 cards per minute lines use a vacuum suction conveyor and a stepper motor driven applicator, enabling Carlton to label up to 90,000 cards per day.
"The machines are excellent, so much so that we sometimes have the odd problem finding enough work for them," said Carlton finishing manager Dave Jackson.
