The Confederation of Print Users (CPU) plans to provide advice and technical information for buyers of print and design services.
"We saw a gap in the market for providing services for people without a great deal of experience in print buying," said managing director Martin Edwards.
For a 3,000 per year membership fee, the CPU will offer seven-days-a-week service, including advice on new technology, estimating and arbitration in disputes.
"We will also offer a cover service for when the normal buyer is off on holiday, or off sick," added Edwards.
The CPU has four clients and employs four staff at its Chorley headquarters.
