Buxton installs 5th Stahlfolder for extra work

Magazine printer Buxton Press has installed its fifth Stahlfolder to cope with the 340 titles it rolls out every month.

"Stahlfolders have served us well and the new machines are very fast," said managing director Mike Galloway.

The firm opted for the combination KH 78 folder to produce 16pp, 8pp and 4pp magazine sections at its Derbyshire factory. Due to the standard formats it produces it also specified the folder with a continuous rather than pallet feeder.

The decision to opt for a  Heidelberg was partly driven by the manufacturers updates to the folder.

"We liked the changes it has put on the fold plate, deflector plate and the air-control that ensures a constant production throughflow," said Galloway.
