Bunzl Fine Paper has signed its largest-ever distribution deal, which will be worth in the region of 50m over the next three years.
The contract was awarded to Bunzl by the Europa Office stationery purchasing consortium, and accounts for over a third of an overall contract for a total of 56,000 tonnes.
"The Europa contract is the big one in stationery paper sales, and we are delighted to get such a lions share of it," said Fred Haines, Bunzl Fine Papers business development director.
The deal amounts to 8% of the total cut-size paper sold in the British Isles.
Bunzl will stock and supply Europa Office members with papers carrying their existing own-label brands, as well as mill-branded products and those wearing the Bunzl colours.
This follows a 1m-plus contract win last year by Bunzl for the supply of Crusade-brand envelopes in box volumes to Europa Office members.
Europa Office stationery purchasing consortium has over 700 member dealers, which share combined sales in the UK and Ireland of 950m.
