Brown budget definitely bad news for printers

One view expressed in your last issue was that Gordon Browns Budget was neutral for the print industry. In my view, the bad far outweighed the good. I agree with Andrew Brown from the BPIF that it was a kick in the teeth.

From what I gathered, print will be hit with an increase in small companies’ tax, a rise in fuel and a reduction in tax relief on capital investments. The only ‘good’ thing was the reduction in corporation tax, but I’m not sure that will have much impact.
