Bishops Printers opens doors to clients

Commercial printer Bishops Printers has opened its doors to more than 200 clients for a motor racing-themed open day.

The Portsmouth-based business held the event, which included a tour of its facility that followed the flow of production from sales to despatch, last Thursday (12 May).

Visitors were also treated to a host of flash cars, including a Lamborghini Diablo 600 and a TVR, four virtual driving simulators and the UK’s largest digital Scalextric, featuring a 150ft track.

Marketing manager Simon Brinsmead said that the event had brought together months of planning.

He said: "If I were to give advice to anyone considering doing something of this scale I would say that planning is the most important factor. We started six months in advance and the initial marketing strategies were pieced together almost five months ago.

"I am really pleased with the way things have gone. We have had more than 200 clients visit us. We have had some really good feedback about the factory, the company and of course the entertainment we laid on, which was enjoyed by all."
